As a former pastor for over 20 years, a husband for 25 years, and a father of 2 young adult girls (one with special needs), Pete has walked an experienced road. He has had the privilege to guide people through just about every stage of life towards purpose, hope, and potential.

For the past 25 years, as an organizational leader and speaker, I have learned the value and importance of communicating mission and message in a way that gets heard and understood. Working with people in many sizes, shapes, parts of the country, and a wide variety of industries is a constant teacher to me. That’s why I love coaching individuals, teams, and organizations – sharing with others what I’m continually learning.
Pete is husband to Hollie for 25 years and dad to their young adult daughters who are both active in their colleges. The Hixsons are also a proud part of the special needs community because of their oldest daughter Hope – and started Beyond Communities, a nonprofit organization designed to build residential living with appropriate support in active mixed use communities for young adults with special needs/IDD.
